I would like to give a warm welcome to all livestock exhibitors who have entered this year’s Virtual Royal Cheshire County Show 2020 in what are unprecedented times. It was with a heavy heart we had to make the decision to cancel the live show. I cannot thank you enough for the enthusiasm you have all shown in all sections of the livestock classes, it has made the Virtual Show worthwhile, the entries, the effort and professionalism from all exhibitors has been fantastic. That leaves me to wish all very good look with your entries. I hope you all enjoy watching the grand parade. From us all at the Royal Cheshire County Show we look forward to being able to welcome you all to next year’s 2021 show. The competitions have been made possible by the Cloud Lines Shows platform. See our Cloud Lines Shows page"As judge I looked to see if all parts of the body blended, if there was a good flow from neck through shoulders and along the top line and that all parts of the goat were proportionate to each other. I also looked for a deep heart girth, a wide chest, deep barrel, correct angulation and a gentle slope off. When walking I checked the tracking, width behind and looked for freedom of movement. All of these features are indicative of a soundly functioning goat."
