The Delamere Dairy Main Ring presents a full and varied programme of entertainment throughout the day, including the fast and skilful pony club games, the majestic flights of the Gauntlet Bird of Prey, Eagle and Vulture display, the rousing sound of the Scots Guard Association Pipe Band to name but a few.
One of the most popular Main Ring spectacles are the Grand Parades of Champions from the Cattle and Shire section, which take place on each day of the show.
A great spectacle is the parade of hounds on both days. Members of the public are invited into the Main Ring to get up close and friendly to these iconic animals.
Commemorating the 180th anniversary of the Cheshire Agricultural Society, a new attraction has been designed- Power of the Horse, taking spectators on a journey through history and demonstrating how the different agricultural processes have developed over the years.
On Wednesday, the grand finale will be the display of the Cheshire Young Farmers Float Competition, enjoy the fantastic creations that these young folk come up with and then stand back and watch the traditional and friendly water fight between rival clubs. When we say this will be wet, we mean, very, very wet!
